SLB SHOWCASES EXCLUSIVE SEISMIC DATA TO SUPPORT SRI LANKA’S MANNAR BASIN LICENSING ROUND

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka’s licensing bid round is drawing serious attention - and SLB’s data is at the heart of it.

Through its multi-client agreement with the Petroleum Development Authority of Sri Lanka (PDASL), SLB is marketing an extensive seismic dataset across the Mannar Basin, where the bid round acreage sits. Much of that data is exclusive, including the 2018 survey and its 2021 dataset - a full reprocessing of earlier 2009 lines.

SLB makes the data even more compelling via conversion of 2D lines into 3D cubes, covering both the West Mannar and East Lanka areas. The ability to interrogate the subsurface in any direction, extract seismic attributes and track potential Cretaceous reservoirs brings a level of analysis that 2D data alone simply cannot deliver.

Ivan P., SLB's Exploration Lead - Asia Pacific, confirms that Barracuda and Dorado discoveries are already evidence of a working petroleum system in the Mannar Basin.

This gives investors a de-risked entry point into a genuine frontier. Consolidate that with exclusive data and AI-driven insight on the table, and the opportunity has never been clearer.

Attending Asia Petroleum Geoscience Conference & Exhibition (APGCE) next month? See for yourself at our dedicated Data Room, providing interest investors and E&P companies with an opportunity to review subsurface data and engage directly with PDASL and SLB.
